Does "Tandem" really mean bodysurfing with two people?
Yep.  It's kinda like synchronized bodysurfing and it's very entertaining.  We are quite happy to sign you up with a partner if you want to try out this fun event.

Where are the possible contest sites?
Laguna Creek is a beautiful and wild beach approximately 6 miles north of Santa Cruz.  The waves are challenging with some refractive waves off the rocks making for some nice lefts.
Sunny Cove at the end of 17th Avenue is in town, usually smaller waves and hosts the laid back part of the competition:  “The Pure” and “Tandem” and, of course, the BBQ.

26th Avenue is just a bit south from Sunny Cove.  It's has challenging beach break with rights and lefts. It also has a large public parking lot with an outdoor shower and restrooms.
